Overview

The Personal Health Information Act (PHIA) is health information specific legislation that governs how personal health information is collected, used, and disclosed. As per Section 91 of PHIA, a review is required once every 5 years. The first review of PHIA has now been concluded, therefore it is not anticipated any further updates will be forthcoming for this site.
