Skip to Main ContentThe Personal Health Information Act (PHIA) is health information specific legislation that governs how personal health information is collected, used, and disclosed. As per Section 91 of PHIA, a review is required once every 5 years.
This is the second review of PHIA. The province has appointed INQ Consulting and INQ Law to assist the Government of Newfoundland and Labrador to complete the PHIA statutory review. A statutory review committee has been established with representatives from INQ Consulting and INQ Law and officials from the Department of Health and Community Services.
